Pomona Bail Bonds: Jail and Booking Information
Pomona runs its own police department and its own city jail. Most people arrested in Pomona are booked a few blocks from the courthouse where their case will be heard. If bail is posted while they are still at the city jail, they can often be released without ever going into county custody. Iron Bail Bonds writes 24/7 bail bonds in Pomona and across the Pomona Valley, and we can start a release the moment bail is set.

How Bail Works in Pomona
Booking at the Pomona City Jail usually takes 2–4 hours. Bail is set from the Los Angeles County bail schedule based on the most serious charge. Under the county’s pre-arraignment release protocol, many lower-level offenses are released without money bail. Money bail still applies to serious felonies, cases with enhancements, warrants, and people on felony probation or parole. Whatever the judge sets at arraignment also controls. When there is a dollar amount, a bail bond means you pay a 10% premium (8% if you qualify) instead of the full bail. Learn more in how bail works in California.
Release time expectations
- Pomona City Jail: often within a few hours of the bond being posted
- After transfer to IRC or Century Regional: typically 12–24+ hours
